World Water Day

Considering that 1.4 million people die annually with 74 million people projected to have their lives shortened by diseases related to poor water, sanitation and hygiene, and the fact that two billion people (1 in 4 people) worldwide lack safe drinking water today according to World Health Organization and UNICEF, it becomes imperative to accelerate change to solve the global water and sanitation crisis.

Moreso, water affects everyone; communities, schools, organizations, businesses, healthcare centers, farms and factories.

We all (families, schools, communities) can make a difference by changing the way we use, consume and manage water so we can accelerate progress on SDG 6 and other internationally-agreed water-related goals and targets.

Play your part!

Happy World Water Day.
