Stemming from the fact that more than double of aid workers were killed in two years from 118 in 2022 to 261 in 2023 with 78 aid workers kidnapped and 196 wounded globally in 2023 according to United Nations OCHA, we enjoin authorities to go beyond celebrating humanitarian workers and act promptly in ensuring the protection of civilians and humanitarians in conflict zones.
