World AIDS Day

For the substantial progress recorded so far in the HIV response to be sustained and for the world to end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030, we must realize the important role human rights protection play in attaining this goal.

We must be geared to close all gaps in the realization of human rights and reverse the surge in attacks on rights that impede the gains made in ending AIDS and disrupts public health.

This year, as we further demonstrate our commitment to ending the scourge of HIV/AIDS, we urge leaders in different spheres to protect everyone’s rights as this drives progress for everyone’s health. Let us all take the rights path.
