World Immunization Week

Considering that over the past 50 years, essential vaccines have saved at least 154 million lives translating to 6 lives saved every minute for five decades and the fact that vaccines protect against more than 30 life-threatening diseases, it is imperative we remain steadfast towards promoting the use of vaccines to protect people of all ages against disease. As we celebrate the World Immunization Week, let us remember that vaccines are one of humanity’s greatest achievements and with determination we can ensure no one is left unimmunized.
