With 75% of those aged 15-24 using the internet in 2022 (according to the International Telecommunication Union), a rate higher than other age groups, young people are leading the charge in digital adoption and innovation globally.
Though disparities still persist in low-income countries and among young women, who often have limited access to the internet and digital skills compared to their male counterparts, young people still make indelible impact across our economic, social, health and environmental world.
This year, as we celebrate the digital contributions of youths towards sustainable development, we remain committed to digitally skilling our youths for the advancement of the Sustainable Development Goals and ultimate transformation of our world.
